January 10 - NREL calls to inform Georgia Tech has been selected as one of twenty universities to participate in the 2007 Solar Decathlon.
The house's "light roof" contains "building-integrated photovoltaic panels (BIPV's) with integral operable shading devices and translucent skin composed of "light film" that is inflated and filled with aerogel insulation. The roof is "light weight" and "emits light" while being thermally-efficient.
