In spring 2006, the team's focus was information gathering, recruiting students and strengthening ties between students and faculty in the Colleges of Architecture, Engineering, Management and Sciences. One of the central events of the semester was the staging of the Solar Decathlon Seminar Series, an interdisciplinary set of lectures by participating students and faculty. We also initiated our business and fundraising plan, worked closely with our colleagues at the Institute for Sustainable Technology and Development (ISTD) and the Development Office in the College of Architecture. Another important milestone mark during this semester was locating the site for construction of the house.
